Mikhail Afanasyevich Burjakov was born in Kiev in 1891 and died in Moscow in 1940. The literary world called him a literary master who thought deeply and challenged all evils with a fearless spirit. His representative works "Dog Heart", "White Guards", "Master and Marguerite" were banned and confiscated by the Soviet authorities, or "killed in silence". The writer recovered his reputation after his death, and the Soviet literary world twice set off a "Burgakov craze". Now his works have entered the list of modern classics and are regarded as one of the greatest literary treasures of the 20th century. "Dog Heart", written in early 1925, won unanimous praise in literary circles. It was found that it did sharply attack reality, but it attacked the rudeness, ignorance and desolation of reality. In the novel, a dog suddenly becomes an outward-looking hooligan because of a human pituitary transplant, causing rogue habits to infiltrate every cell of the laboratory monster named Sharikov along with the hormone secreted by the pituitary gland. Sharikov's terrible injustice lies in the inferiority of the rogue proletarians and in his vulgarization of socialism. On the surface, Dog Heart looks like a science fiction story, but it actually has dystopian novels.
