Heleno (2011)

This film is a biography of legendary Brazilian player Eleno. Eleno was born into a wealthy family. His childhood dream was to be a football player. When he grew up, he played for the Boca Fergo club and became a football star. But he has a bigger goal: to be the best Brazilian player. The 1942 and 1946 World Cups were suspended because of war, and Eleno's hopes of representing Brazil in the World Cup are fading. The 1950 World Cup was held again, but he was addicted to alcohol all the year round, and his physical fitness could not bear the high-intensity competition, and finally unfortunately missed the game. In 1958, the extremely frail Eleno lived alone in a nursing home and could only watch Brazil win the World Cup in front of the TV.
