Jason was the heir to the throne of ancient Greece, but at a young age he witnessed how his own uncle Pelias brutally murdered his father for the throne. After a lucky escape, Jason stayed away from his native land. Twenty years later, when Jason returned home to reclaim the throne, the treacherous king Pelias announced that Jason was sentenced to death. In order to survive, Jason promised his uncle the Golden Fleece, a gift from the gods, so he and a group of brave sailors embarked on an adventurous journey in search of the Golden Fleece. Jason finally got the Golden Fleece, regained the throne and tied the knot with Medea.
