Jestem (2005)

The film tells the story of the abandoned little boy Kondel (Peter Jagorsky Piotr Jagielski) constantly seeking his own sense of belonging and the fate of his spiritual home. Kondel, who was abandoned by his mother as a child, lived in an orphanage full of depression and restraint. The mother was bent on looking for the so-called true love and disliked Kondel as her own encumbrance. Instead of taking in her son, she ignored her own flesh and blood. In the face of his mother's abandonment, little Condell burst into tears. Finally, the eleven-year-old Condor resolutely fled the orphanage to pursue his own home. Condell began his wandering life, living on an abandoned ship, where he had a "home". Opposite the abandoned ship lived a wealthy family. The little girl was about the same age as him and had a good education and good living conditions. However, because of their ugly appearance, they were always excluded and snubbed, until they met the same lonely Konder, and the young souls were comforted with each other ever since. This film won the Best Picture Award for Special greetings at the 2006 Berlin Film Festival.
