During the Spanish Civil War, people came to France to escape the dictatorship. In the face of the sudden influx of a large number of foreign people, the French authorities concentrated them, but the living conditions were very difficult. Despite being blocked by barbed wire, the painter Jose tried his best to communicate with the outside world, looking for his lost partner, and became friends with a guard. At the same time, the director Aurel, who was born as an illustrator, maximized the brilliance of Jose's paintings and melted them smoothly into the film, focusing on the strength of art and the spirit of tenacious struggle in the face of difficult adversity. It perfectly echoes the protagonist's words: "good ideas, if they do not meet good people, will disappear."
