Kes (1969)

English boy Billy Casper (David Bradley) lives in a broken working-class family where his father runs away from home. In addition to his mother and brother, Billy also has to work to support his family. At school, Billy misbehaves or skips class to read comic books to find the happiness he deserves at this age. One day he found an eagle's nest on the high wall of the farm, so he stole the falcon training textbook from the bookstore and raised a baby eagle named Keith according to the book. The film won the 1971 BAFTA Film Awards for Best Director, Best Film nomination, Best supporting Actor, Best New Artist, Best Screenplay and the 1970 Calloway Farley International Film Festival Crystal Ball Award.
