Klondaik (2022)

In July 2014, their parents-to-be Irka and Tolik lived in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine near the Russian border, a disputed area in the early days of the Donbass War. Their tense expectations of the birth of their first child were violently interrupted by the sudden incident as the crash near Flight MH17 intensified the daunting tensions that enveloped their village. The imminent wreckage of the airliner and the upcoming mourners highlighted the surreal trauma of the time.
