Viorel, 19, lives with his mother, who feels that Viorel is idle and aimless all day. Viorel has a good friend of a drug dealer, Gus, who often helps sell drugs. Once when he was selling drugs, Viorel met the beautiful barber Maria. He was so excited that he was determined to be a good man. "the low Sky" is the first feature film by Moldovan director Igor Cobileanski, and most of the crew are from Romania. The film, which premiered in the Oriental Camp of the 2013 Karlovivoli International Film Festival, won best debut and best cinematography at the Gobo Academy Award in Romania in 2014, and nominated 11 other awards, including Best Picture. Moldova competed for an Oscar for a foreign language film for the second time since last year.
