In 2000, Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori announced his resignation, ending his totalitarian rule. However, due to years of terrorist attacks and high-handed rule, the people at the bottom have suffered numerous physical and mental trauma. In a remote mountain area of Peru, the mother of a teenage girl Fasta (Magaly Solier) was raped by terrorists when she was young, and then contracted a strange disease called "sad milk". When she was terminally ill, her mother was only worried about Fasta, who might be infected by breastfeeding. When his mother died, Fasta, far from home and grief, went to work at the villa of a female pianist in a small town. She didn't seem to care about everything around her, but only focused on the life she might lose at any time and the uncertain future. The film won the Golden Bear Award and International Film critic Phoebe Award at the 2009 Berlin International Film Festival, and the Best Picture and Best Actress (Magaly Solier) Award at the 2009 Guadalajara Mexican Film Festival.
