Eight-year-old boy Charlie (Romeo Botzaris) is eagerly looking forward to Christmas because his father Pierre (Vincent Lindon Vincent Linton) promised him a bike as a holiday gift. But when he finally waited for his father to come home, he found that his gift was only a model white plane. Father saw Charlie's disappointment and replied that he must give him a bike for his birthday. Soon after, Pierre, a pilot, was killed on a mission, leaving only his grieving wife Catherine (Isabelle Carr é Isabel Carry) and her son Charlie. Charlie sleeps with the plane his father gave him every night, hoping to get closer to his father. But he found that the plane could fly freely.
