Emily (Audrey Tatu Audrey Tautou) had what others thought was an unhappy childhood-when her father gave her a health check-up, he found that her heart was beating too fast and concluded that she was suffering from a heart attack. Emily has been isolated from the school ever since. Then because of an accident, her mother died suddenly in front of her eyes. None of this affected Emily's open-minded optimism about life. The death of Princess Diana in 1997 made her feel lonely and fragile, and Emily began a series of programs to help others, including autistic and melancholy neighbors, vegetable stall attendants who were mean by their bosses, old landlords who lost their childhood artifacts, and coffee shop colleagues who were frustrated in love. But she never imagined that Nino (Matthew Casovy), an adult video store clerk, became a thorny target for her, and Emily started a funny alternative plan.
