The film is adapted from a novel of the same name published by French writer Franz-Olivier Giesbert in 2006. The story is based on a real riot in Jacobet in France in the late 1970s. Charly Matte (Renault Jean Reno) used to be a godfather of the Marseilles gangs. After a long career in the Marseilles mafia, he said goodbye to the chaotic life and began to take the right path. For three years, the man who only wanted to live in peace for the rest of his life calmly enjoyed his family with his wife and children, thinking that he could completely bid farewell to the dark days of the past. But on a cold winter morning, everything changed completely, and Charly was ambushed, shot several times and collapsed in the garage. Doctors found 22 bullets in Charly's body, but he miraculously survived. Who planned the murder and betrayed him, all the truth will be revealed.
