The kind and kind Lord Frank Langford (Jim Broadbent) is the leader of the House of Lords of the British government and an active advocate of the prison visit charitable foundation. With his help, countless criminals who committed numerous crimes woke up, changed their ways and ushered in a new life. In 1965, a series of heinous murders shocked Britain. Young man Ian Brady (Andy Serkis) and girlfriend Myra Hindley (Samantha Morton) brutally kill several children in a vicious way. After being arrested, the two men were sentenced to life imprisonment respectively. Shortly thereafter, Hindley invited Lord Langford to visit the prison, hoping for help. After many letters and face-to-face exchanges, Langford believed that Hindley had sincerely repented. Although he was under pressure from the government and public opinion, he decided to gamble his reputation to get parole for Hindley. The film is based on real events and won the 2008 Golden Globe Award for Best Mini TV Series, Best Actor (Jim Broadbent) and Best Actress (Samantha Morton...).
