At the same time, he has close ties with Germany's far-right neo-Nazi forces and the so-called "identity movement", and Nazi symbols and extremist terms are often seen in videos. Does he really agree with this political view? Or is it just a game for young people, all for fun? The director and photographer of King of Toys accompanied Max and a small group centered around him for a summer and filmed a lot of disturbing scenes. The film won the Golden Pigeon Award at the important DOK Film Festival in Leipzig. However, the release of the film was also accompanied by great controversy. Left-wing groups accused the documentary team of being too silent in the film and did not give a specific explanation of the protagonist's background and motivation. instead, it gave the far-right groups a platform to promote their ideas.
