Love and Bruises (2011)

After a Sino-French relationship in Beijing withered, Hua (Ren Jie) decided to quit her job as a teacher in Beijing and go to Paris to find her boyfriend, but failed to change her mind. Wandering in a strange city, the lost flower meets a French blue-collar Matthew (Taha Rahim Tahar Rahim). Matthew immediately pays attention to the Chinese girl and violently occupies her, while the desperate flower accidentally falls in love with Matthew. Although Matthew is madly in love with flowers, he and his friends seem to treat flowers like bitches all the time, and the rift between them is becoming a gulf. The daze in Paris and the discord with Matthew made Hua homesick, and she began to explore what she wanted between sex and love, freedom and homesickness. This film is based on the novel of the same name by Liu Jie, a Chinese female writer living in Paris.
