Manuale d'amore (2005)

The film consists of four chapters, namely, Love, crisis, betrayal and abandonment. Four chapters are presented by four different couples. In the first chapter, Tommaso and Gulia go through tryst, first kiss, sex, cohabitation, and finally get married. In Chapter 2, Barbara and Marco fall into a "crisis" after falling in love for several years: can a son save them? Ornella in the third chapter has a unique magical power; the hero of the last chapter can not face the tragedies of life and has to turn to book knowledge, and the name of the book happens to be "Love Handbook"! The film won Best supporting Actor and Best supporting Actress at the 2005 Italian Film Awards (DAVID DI DONATELLO AWARDS), and 10 nominations for Best Photography, Best Fashion Design, Best Editing, Best Film and Best Music, and three nominations from the Italian Association of Film journalists (Italian National Syndicate Of Film Journalists) for Best Screenplay, Best supporting Actor and Best Director.
