Pepe, the happy woodcutter, worked for a lumber company, and when the company was mercilessly acquired, his misfortune began. Miko Malilati, who wrote the award-winning film Ollie's Happy Day at the Cannes Film Festival, wrote and directed his first feature-length film, which was shot on 35mm film and is divided into two chapters about a murder with magical realism. In the candy tone, wrapped with surreal elements, such as talking fish heads, black long-haired monsters, glowing floating balls, etc., to create the texture of adult fairy tales. Make use of the poetic panorama to soften the crisis-ridden real world and reinterpret the meaning of the suffering of mortals in the Book of Job with Finnish cold humor. Won the 2022 Cannes Film Festival critic Weekly Distribution Award, the 2023 Finnish Film Husi Award for Best Sound Design.
