Michael Clayton, the criminal prosecutor (George Clooney George Clooney), had a big time in the legal profession in New York. After leaving, he worked for a large private law firm. At the urging of the new boss Marty Bacher (Sidney Pollack Sydney Pollack), he began the work of cleaning up bad records.
