Dez (Gary Cooper Gary Cooper) is an accomplished businessman who hopes to get out of his busy business and spend more time on his hobbies. A huge legacy worth 20 million fell on Diz, and newspaper inquiries sent reporter Barbie (Jean Arthur Jean Arthur) in the hope that she could dig up some eye-catching news from Diz. At first, Barbie was very unaccustomed to Diz's behavior, but with the passage of time, she was gradually attracted by the kindness and integrity of the latter, and there was a romantic love between them. Dez's decision to use the inheritance to help people living in poverty has been questioned by lawyer John (Douglass Dumbrille), who firmly believes that there may be something wrong with Diz's head and even takes him to court.
