ABC showed great interest in David Lynch's original plan to turn Mukhran Road into a TV series. Twin Peaks, written by Lynch, is considered to be a landmark work in the history of American television, and Mukhran Road will undoubtedly mark Lynch's return to television. It was while filming the episode of Twin Peaks that David Lynch came up with the idea of Mukhran Road. Lynch was on location on Mukhran Avenue when suddenly he was inspired: "Mukhran Avenue, it seems to be a good movie title!" But shortly after shooting, ABC temporarily changed his mind and shot the shooting plan. "Mukhran Road" has only enough material to cut into a two-hour film, and there is no end. Although David Lynch made repeated changes to the work, it was not approved by the television company. When the film production was at a standstill, Lynch turned to the European market for support and was eventually sponsored by French producer Pierre Edelman. Lynch changed the script by 1/3 and changed the work into a movie. "it's a wonderful process," he said. "A film about life and death has also gone through the road of coming back from the dead. Now it has taken on a whole new look.
