The story is written by Meg Lefort and John Morgan, both of whom are also executive producers. Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn (at Mockingbird Pictures) co-produced with Paul Young (Cartoon Saloon, the Secret of the Kyle, the breadwinner) and Tom Moore. Adapted from Ruth Stiles Gannett's Newbery Award-winning children's novel, "my Dad's Little Dragon" tells the story of Elmer Elevato, a runaway young man who searches for imprisoned dragons on a barbaric island and then discovers things that completely exceeded his expectations. Alan Moroni and Ruth Cody (who works at Parallel Films) will co-produce with Grishlin.
