Neelavelicham (2023)

Adapted from the Vaikom Muhammad Basheer short story of the same name, remade from the 1964 film. The frustrated young writer came to the abandoned mansion Bhargavi Nilayam in the village and learned from friends and villagers that the house was haunted by the legend that Bhargavi, a young girl betrayed by her lover, committed suicide by jumping into a well in the 1950s. The writer decides to write a story about Bhargavi and gradually realizes that the death of a young girl may have been a murder. One night, the writer went to a friend's house to borrow kerosene for the lamp. When he came back, he saw the whole house glowing with extremely bright blue light.
