Adapted from the 1957 novel published by the British writer Tom Chammales (1924-1960), it tells the story of the American and British guerrillas fighting against the Japanese in northern Burma during World War II. The first half focuses on the U.S.-Japan War and the story of Frank Sinatra dating Gina Lollobrigida, the mistress of the wealthy businessman Paul Henraid. In the second half, the main body gradually turns to the National Government in 1959. After the coalition raided the Japanese, they found that logistics personnel had been killed and supplies had been looted on the way back.
