The story takes place in a pagan village in Estonia, where werewolves, plagues and ghosts are ravaged. In order to survive the cold and dark winter, the villagers here have no taboos and steal everywhere. They betrayed their conscience and searched everywhere for Kurat, a creature that could help them steal, even if the barn was too full to hold. The heroine of the film is a young farm girl named Lena, who is hopelessly in love with a boy named Hans in the village. The desire for boys turned the girl into a werewolf and jumped into the cold pool. She is ready to die for love.
