For empty nesters, what's the difference between letting their children grow up and alienating them? On this year's Mother's Day, Carol (Angela Bessett), Gillian (Patricia Arquette) and Helen (Felicity Hoffman), who feel left out and forgotten by their children, decide to go to New York to reshape their relationship with their adult sons, and in the process, they realize that it is not just their sons who need to change their lives. The journey became a journey of rediscovery, allowing these women to redefine their relationships with their children, friends, spouses and, most importantly, with themselves.
