Kojiro (Wu Meiqing) meets an old man (Koji Suzuki) by chance. After a conversation, Yojiro learns that the old man's child has moved to Tokyo, leaving her alone in her hometown. The kind-hearted Yojiro decided to go home with the old man and chat with her. The next day, a doctor visited the old man. Yojiro knew that the old man was sick, and she would rather stay at home and endure the pain than receive treatment alone in the hospital. The doctor in charge of the illness of the elderly is called Makiko (Keiko Mada). In fact, she has the same experience as the old man. Makiko's husband died while climbing the mountain in the early years, while a pair of children, one in a university in a different place, the other in foster care with his mother. Makiko's work is so busy that he has no time to take care of his young son. Over time, the child misunderstands his mother.
