A drama series about the family who founded Chester Zoo in the 1930s. After the end of World War I, George Mottershead, a veteran, is still unable to get rid of the painful memories of the war. Once he came across a camel and a monkey about to be abandoned when he was transporting goods at the dock. He miraculously persuaded the bank to lend him a sum of money and then began to press ahead with his "zoo project".
