Burt Reynolds plays a hot-tempered man who wakes up drunk to find himself accused of murdering a notorious gangster who cannot explain his whereabouts to prove his innocence. Teresa Russell, a ruffian female lawyer, took the case to defend him, while police officer Ned Betty, who was determined to convict the suspect, threatened to win the case, and the prosecution and defense inevitably had a series of fights in court. but in the end, they teamed up to set up a game to lead to the real killer. This film won the excellent translated Film Award of the Ministry of Culture in 1991.
