Like all residents of the metropolitan New York City, Kate (Katherine Keener Catherine Keener) rarely has time to calm down and think about her life and situation, but once she starts to think about it, Kate finds that her life is not as good as it seems. Kate is engaged in an unspeakable and mysterious profession, buying second-hand goods at a low price, renovating them and then buying them at a high price to a furniture store, a career that puts Kate in danger of being arrested at any time. At the same time, the relationship between Kate and her husband is not as sweet as it used to be. Coupled with the money-worshiping daughter who gave Kate a headache, Kate felt like she had fallen from heaven to hell. Next door to Kate's house lives an eccentric old lady Andra (Ann Morgan Gilbert Ann Morgan Guilbert), and the story starts from the old lady's place.
