A Polish man, who had been living in the United States, went back to his hometown to visit his brother. Only to find himself reluctantly involved in the dispute between his brother and the local villagers. The village was occupied by the Nazis, and the two brothers slowly discovered that, at the instigation of the Nazi occupying forces, the locals, including his own father, had killed the Jewish villagers and burned down their buildings. Then the villagers can take over the land and houses of their dead neighbors.
