Poppy Shakespeare (2008)

Thirteen years ago, N, a child, was locked up in a mental hospital called Dorothy Fish in north London, where she lived quietly without any dissatisfaction or imagination. She understands that only abnormality is the most normal here, so N is satisfied that there is no sign of improvement after the annual examination, because she will always belong to this little safe haven. Just share Plutoperidol and Cerberum (psychotropic drugs, the patron saint of hell in Dante's purgatory novel "Divine Comedy") with patients every day, drink some self-brewed wine, and be carefree without worrying about bills or paying attention to others. The arrival of Poppy Shakespeare, a single mother and black girl, disrupted N's plan. From the day he was admitted to the hospital, Poppy had only one thought, found evidence that he was a normal person, and was discharged from the hospital to reunite with his daughter. She asks for N's help, and N comforts Poppy to adapt to life here, even if it's just for show. The life tracks of the two young girls gradually intersect, N's life has color and happiness, and she even begins.
