The American version of poisoning is adapted from the 2002 Korean movie poisoning, starring Lee Byung-heon and Lee Meiyan. A traffic accident puts Jessica (Sarah Michelle Gella Sarah Michelle Gellar)'s husband Ryan (Michael Landers Michael Landes) and brother-in-law Rayman (Lee pace Lee Pace) into a coma and is told of the danger of becoming a vegetable again. But Reiman woke up a few months later, giving Jessica a glimmer of hope that her husband would recover. And Rayman unexpectedly told Jessica that he was her husband Ryan. Jessica didn't believe it at first, but Rayman's way of doing things became more and more like Rayman and told a secret that only Ryan knew. Jessica was caught in a deep contradiction: on the one hand, it was difficult for her to accept and the transfer of her soul; on the other hand, she felt her husband's breath and vague happiness. Love, which seems as hopeless as poisoning, is about to begin. At the same time, Ryan in the hospital seems to have signs of recovery.
