Queen of the South (2016 - 2021)
The play is based on author Arturo P é rez-Reverte's best-selling book La Reina Del Sur. The Queen of the South tells the story of the heroine Teresa Mendoza (Alice Braga), who is forced to flee to the United States to seek asylum after his male drug dealer friend is accidentally murdered in Mexico. She works with her former friends to fight back against the drug cartel leader who killed her boyfriend and hunted her. In the process, however, she slowly learns the "knowledge" and "strategy" of the drug trafficking business, and gradually becomes the new boss of the drug cartel. Peter Gadiot, who plays the regular character James Valdez, is a newly emerging character under Camila Vargas (Veronica Falcon guys) who knows a lot about the drug world. Although he would inflict arrogance on those who rebelled against him, Teresa found that he had his own sense of integrity, and then he became an important ally of Teresa in the United States. Carlos Gomez plays a recurring role throughout the season, Javier.
