In the ordinary town of Toyama, the nearly 60-year-old Toru Kojima (Yuwa Miura) is an experienced tram driver with 42 years driving experience. He kept a fault-free record for 35 years and neglected to communicate with his family while preoccupied with his work. In another month, the island will usher in the moment of retirement. while he is planning a leisurely vacation with his wife Sasako (played by Yu Guimiko), he has mixed feelings and is reluctant to give up this lifelong post.
