Ransomed (2023)
The young diplomat was assigned to rescue the kidnapped diplomat with a ransom. During the 1986 civil war in Lebanon, a South Korean diplomat was taken hostage in Beirut and his whereabouts are unknown. Two years later, people have long forgotten this matter. Diplomat Min Jun (acted the role of he Zhengyu) received a phone call to prove that the hostages were still alive. With the established mission, Min Jun was sent to Beirut to rescue the hostages with the ransom. But Min Jun ran into trouble as soon as he set foot in Beirut. Fortunately, Min Jun managed to escape from the airport with the inadvertent help of Pan Xiu (Zhu Zhixun), a local taxi driver. Despite the distrust of Pansu's prank, the two unlikely allies had to cross the destroyed, war-torn streets of Beirut to bring the long-awaited hostage home.
