The Rebel in the Rye is based on Kenneth Slawenski's biography Salinger's Life (JD Salinger: a Life), written and directed by Danny Strong. The whole film revolves around Salinger's novel the Catcher in the Rye, which influenced generations of Americans and left Salinger's name in the literary world forever. But Salinger himself was so low-key and mysterious that he only wrote this novel in his life. after becoming famous, he bought more than 90 acres of land near the riverside hills in rural New Hampshire and built a cabin on the top of the hill. lived a life of seclusion. He died on January 27, 2010 at his home in New Hampshire at the age of 91. The Rebel in the Rye will show Salinger's rebellious youth, his experience of joining the army in World War II, his love and hate, and his spiritual awakening.
