Iona, 22, Avalon's most promising scientist, was suddenly kidnapped and the company hired Paris Detective Karas to find it. Karas found that he was not the only one looking for Iona, and the witness was always silenced first. It turned out that orphan sisters Iona Hua and Besselin were both rescued from the war-torn Caucasus, but their fates were quite different: Iona, who learned from the great geneticist Jonas Muller, finally chose Avalon and was immersed in her work all day; Besselin was reduced to a gangster; and Iona's teacher Muller gave up her great future in order to change poverty at the bottom of the city. Before her disappearance, Iona seemed to be involved in a mysterious project called the Renaissance draft. In order to find Iona and unravel the secret of her disappearance, Karas is careful among corporate spies, gangsters and geneticists, but does not know whether the world will face redemption or destruction when the real answer is revealed.
