Inspired by the famous novel Montauk by Max Frisch, a representative of Swiss postwar literature, it is not a film adaptation of the novel, but is based on a play written by Colm Tobin, a great master of contemporary Irish literature. Writer Marx Zuen came to New York for the launch of his new book, which describes a relationship that happened and ended in the city 17 years ago. By chance, he met Rebecca, the woman he wrote in the book. She is from East Germany and is now a successful lawyer who has lived in New York for 20 years. The two decided to spend a weekend together. In winter, on the beach in Montauk, at the end of long Island, two recliners are set up in the cold wind, and two people who have missed in time come back here again, with endless hopes and frustrations.
