The story takes place in the picturesque island of Sicily, where Ascalone (Saro Urzilla) has three beautiful daughters, Agnes (Stephania Sandrelli Stefania Sandrelli), Amalia (Lola Bracini Lola Braccini) and Matilde (Paola Biggio). Ascalone is a very dignified man who always has the final say in matters big and small in the family. Matilde is about to enter the marriage hall hand in hand with her fianc é Pinot (Aldo Priscilla Aldo Puglisi), who knows that Pinot is a fickle playboy. Under his seduction, Agnes has sex with him. Not only that, Agnes is pregnant with Pinot's child. The incident was inevitably learned by Ascalone, who ordered Pinot to marry Agnes.
