The old colleague of Nicard (Matti Pellonp ä ä), the garbage truck driver of the sanitation company, planned to raise money to set up his own sanitation company and invited Nicard technology to take a stake, but the old colleague soon died of a sudden illness, and Nicard's life returned to a stagnant state. Nikad was unwilling to take advantage of alcohol to stir up trouble and met his future colleague Mikala when he was detained. Mikala occasionally hinders Nicard from secretly courting supermarket salesperson Irona (Kati Outinen), but he is still Nikad's most reliable friend. In retaliation for the supermarket manager who stole the cash box, Nicard helped her find a new job in the clothing store. The clothing store manager got caught in the middle of Nicard's relationship with Irona, but Nicard finally got her lover back. This film won the Best Picture Award at the Finnish Film Yossi Award in 1987. It is the first part of the proletarian trilogy directed by Aki Kaurism ä ki.
