This is a fictional series based on a true story and set in a Nobinghamshire mining village where screenwriter James Graham himself grew up. The story focuses on two shocking murders that completely shattered an already divided community and sparked one of the largest mantras in British history. Inspector Ian St Clair of the local police station and Kevin Salisbury of the Metropolitan Police Department must put aside their past competition and work together to solve the case. There is widespread suspicion that the deaths may have sharpened historic divisions sparked during the miners 'strike in the 1980s, breaking up families.
