Siberia, Monamour (2011)

On the edge of Siberia, there is a forgotten village called Monamore. The teenager Leoshka was waiting for his father's return in the village with his devout grandfather. His only friend was a puppy. Leoshka's uncle was supposed to come on time to supply them with food, but he seemed to have forgotten it. Old people and teenagers are getting weaker and lonelier in the snow, and they have to face robbers and beasts in the snow. Behind the scenes production in Valencia, Spain, "Jupiter" International Film Festival (Cinema Jove Intl. Film Festival) has a history of 26 years and mainly displays the first or second works of the new director. A few days ago, the top prize at this film festival, "the Moon of Valencia", was awarded to the Russian film Siberia, my Love. The judging chairman of the festival is Jan Harlan, a former producer of Kubrick's "Children of troubled Times" and Spielberg's "artificial Intelligence." Siberia, my Love, is the second film directed by Slava Ross, funded by the Cannes Film Festival. The story takes place on the western border of Leia.
