Second-rate nightclub singer DeLaurice (Herbie Goldberg) was chased by gang leaders for accidentally witnessing a murder. In order to escape the pursuit of the killer, she turned to the police, who arranged for her to hide in the safest place in the world-a convent to protect her as a witness at the scene. The quiet and lonely life in the nun was unbearable for the always active DeLaurice, so she ran out to sing and dance in the evening. The dean (Maggie Smith) worried about her and arranged her to the choir. She also thought that the choir was so bad that she decided to transform it. So during the mass, the choir sang pop songs, but the lyrics were changed to praise God. Who thought, this was warmly welcomed by the parishioners. And attracted a special visit from the pope. How can the TV station let go of such interesting news? But as soon as it was exposed on TV, DeLaurice was announced to run for her life again.
