Sneakers (1992)

Martin, who was wanted for computer theft 20 years ago, changed his name and set up a computer company with four other computer aficionados. One day, two NSA personnel hired Martin to help them steal a newly developed black box from a computer decoding expert. They suspected that the black box was used for espionage. Martin was forced to accept the mission and sneak into the black box. It turns out that this is a universal decoder. With it, there are no secrets in the world at all. The discovery shocked Ribas, a black man who had worked for the Central Intelligence Agency. Experience knows that any government will kill the holder of such a black box. Therefore, the five men were as if they were facing an archenemy and made all preparations. The next day, as soon as Martin handed over the black box, he saw the news of Gao Da's murder in the newspaper. But Ribas later discovered that Gao Da had been ordered by the NSA to conduct black-box research. Obviously, Martin's employer is not the NSA, Martin first thought of foreign spies.
