Some Things That Stay (2004)

It tells the story of a young girl with free and open education in the United States in the 1950s who moved to the conservative Baptist community in the countryside. A novel adapted from Sarah Willis. In 1954, 15-year-old Tamara Anderson was tired of drifting away from his parents and siblings. So they rented a country farmhouse and found that its owner moved out after his 17-year-old son died at home. Tamara was initially shocked by the boy's death in his bedroom, but the family began to adapt to the new environment, make friends with neighbors and learn how to milk the cows rented with the house. But when the mother was diagnosed with tuberculosis and sent to a nursing home for recovery, the family began to fall apart. Entries for the Victoria Film Festival.
