The "South Pacific" is set when the United States Navy occupied a small island in the South Pacific during World War II. Faubusch, from a conservative Arkansas town, fell in love with Debeck, but hesitated because his two hybrids dragged oil bottles. She fell in love with Deebeck, but in the face of her mother's strict letter, she had to refuse. Another high-profile figure on the island is the know-it-all Bloody Mary, which is popular with the American garrison; Lieutenant Gable from Philadelphia has a crush on Mary's daughter Leah, but is also concerned about her aboriginal identity; Mary matchmaker for her daughter with an island love song, which makes Gable abandon her prejudices and spread her enthusiasm. However, as the two foreign relationships became more and more hot, the pressure to marry and start a family became more and more obvious; Deebeck volunteered to explore the war zone with Gable after she was refused to propose to Nellie; Gable was shot and killed, and Diebeck disappeared for a time, which made Nellie realize her feelings for Debeck; she accompanied Debeck's young children day and night, developed a relationship with them, and regretted that she had forced Diebeck into the enemy.
