The Clone Wars have been going on for three years, and the Republic is about to win. General Geoffett and count Dooku (Christopher Lee Christopher Lee) of the separatist Alliance hijack parliamentary Prime Minister Palpatine (Ian McGregor Ian McDiarmid) and abscond. Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ivan McGregor Ewan McGregor) and Anakin (Hayden Christensen Hayden Christensen) are ordered to rescue the Presbyterian. Anakin killed count Dooku and rescued Palpatine, but General Goffett fled. Anakin dreams that his wife Amidala (Natalie Portman Natalie Portman) is about to die in childbirth and turns to Palpatine, who takes the opportunity to alienate Anakin from the Jedi Council. As Anakin moved closer to Palpatine, a plot against the Jedi and the democracy he defended unfolded. The film was nominated for the 78th Academy Award for Best make-up in 2006 and the Grammy Award for Best original Music in Visual Media such as Film and Television.
