Los Angeles police Tom Rod (Keanu Reeves Keanu Reeves) is tough, brave and resolute, often confronting suspects violently with his teammates in defiance of police regulations. Their actions are both feared and hated by lawbreakers and criticized by their colleagues at the same time. With the care of captain Jack Ward (Forrest Whitaker Forest Whitaker), Tom goes his own way and is unmoved. Terrence Washington (Terry Crews) is Tom's former partner who is ordered to investigate Tom's violent law enforcement. One night, Terrence was killed by two masked men, and according to the evidence left at the scene, Tom became the prime suspect. After several twists and turns, he cooperates with Paul Discante (Chris Evans), the police officer in charge of investigating the case, only to find that there is a shocking conspiracy behind the murder. At the same time, danger followed, and Tom must seize the time and fight for freedom and innocence.
