Taking the Fengyue District of Zhouzaki in Tokyo as the background stage, and featuring a pair of lovers Yoshiji and Yizhi who ran away to Tokyo because they were opposed by their parents to get married, the protagonist depicts their survival stories living in taverns and noodle shops in Fengyue District. Director Yuzo Kawashima recalled that during filming, he was dealing with the local triad forces between the old and new gangs, and there was no help from the police, which made him fully feel that the filmmaker is the embodiment of the modern "Ranger" in ── plays such as life. Kawashima's film career and career also reflect the spirit of the "Ranger."
