Tacones lejanos (1991)

During the childhood of Rebecca (Victoria Abril Victoria Abril), the mother of a popular singer (Marissa Perez Marisa Paredes) left home for her career, leaving her daughter to grow up alone. Rebecca always wanted to keep her mother around, at the expense of indirectly killing her stepfather, all in vain. The brilliance of her mother was so dazzling that Rebecca spent her whole life imitating and chasing, wanting to be like her mother; at the same time, her mother's ruthlessness and unsurpassed height made Rebecca full of jealousy and hatred for her. She became a news anchor and married her mother's old lover, trying to make herself strong. But when her mother came back, she fell in love with Rebecca's husband, which made Rebecca very angry. She killed her husband in anger and confessed her crime. After Rebecca went to prison, the mother reflected on why her relationship with her daughter had become like this. She wants to atone for her sins, to save her prime daughter from prison, and to let Rebecca continue to search for a happy home.
